South Holston River FISHING REPORT

the night fishing here on the soho is the next big thing ,  with the Boone lake filling up , we are seeing a large seasonal  movement of migratory wild brown trout occur on the lower soho , understanding where and when these movements happen is the key to having the most success , being at the right places at the right times will almost guarantee a win , 

pictured above caught on April 27 , 2025 are just 2 of 15 brown trout caught over the 20 inch mark in one night  fishing with Jacob , we had back to back nights that produced 32 brown trout that measured from 20-26 inches , these high numbers smash the previous records we hold for the most 20 inch or better caught in one night . with a decade of night fishing experience here on the south holston river , all of our time spent studying this river and these browns has led us to where we are now smashing high numbers of big wild browns consistently . thanks for the great memories Jacob

hello and welcome back to another night fishing season here  on the mighty soho ,  it has been a long winter of not fishing , its hard to believe that we no longer fish in the fall/winter  , with only a 6 month season of night fishing , life sure has changed around here , i am excited to start writing fishing reports for  this season , feel free to check back often as i will be updating the fishing reports every few days based on what we catch , 

with the boone lake filling up as i write this report , we are seeing some seasonal migratory fish movements starting to happen in the usual places  , the weather has finally broke and the warm air is in place ,  

pictured above captured on April 19, 2025 at 11;30 pm is Caleb the trout wrangler proudly showing off his magnificent wide body boone lake run lady brown , this fish was caught during the pulse water big bite window , if you fish the soho ? its crucial to understand the flows , knowing when to fish and where to fish during these margins can often produce the biggest eats , this lady brown measures at 27 inches with a massive girth , she fought hard for Caleb giving us a few minutes of high adrenaline pump before she finally tapped out and swam right into the net before anyone's feelings got hurt , it was a great night that ultimately produced a handful of wild brown boated  , thanks for the big memories Caleb .
